Some good sites that I have found are:
www.thinktwice.com
www.909shot.com (or shot909?? - don't remember)
www.van.org.uk (or .com)
I agree that it can be quite confusing when faced with so much info for and against vaccination. My daughter had the three sessions of dtp /polio and the men C vaccine, then I started investigating and have come to the conclusion that yes if she were to get say measles she may go deaf or die, but the odds of the ill effects (death or autism) of vaccinating probably weigh up. Also the majority of the info suggests that once vaccinated you are not necessarily immune - why else to they insist on several shots of MMR - so if the first didn't work then the child was at risk from 18months to 5 years anyway and why bother with the 18month shot! On the dtp I have read that there is only a 30% chance of gaining imunity. Then there is the money makes the world go round argument - can you imagine the lost tax revenue if all the mothers in the world had to take two weeks off work to look after a sick child - of course the goverment is pro vaccinating! Read the web sites and decide for yourself. Making an informed choice is essential!
Good luck, let us know what you decide. At least if you go for the polio one it won't be the one which has been withdrawn due to confirmed links with causing CJD - who knows the replacement may in 10 years be linked to MS (well we have had cancer and CJD so what is next!)
