: Could anyone recomend an over the counter remedy for acid reflux? Thanks Emily
I'm not sure if they are over the counter but I've heard that Zantac, tagamet, and prevacid have given some results. We swear by Prilosec, it has done wonders, and no one we have talked to so far has any problems with long term application to kids. Old folks get it all the time for long periods. Rolaids, tums and stuff like that may also work, and they come in fruity flavors, but a kid has to take like 8 a day to have a chance of working. I can speak from experience that Prilosec works and appears to safe.
