Thanks for caring Grandma! I am searching!!!
: I just re-read your post and the replies. I too, have a suggestion that will help immediatel, get a DAN dr.. There are excellent ones in Ga. if you can get to them. If you are still having Insurance problems, can you qualify for gov't programs, such as Medicare? There are tests and therapies that will take a lot of the bad behaviors out of these kids but it's all going to take aout 1/3 to 2/3's more money than 'the usual routes'. There is a Defeast Autism Now Dr's list, state by state on the Autism Research Site, wwwlautism.com/ari And on the gfcf diet board, as one of the replying posts mentioned, find at www.gfcfdiet.com..from their front page. The respite help care the other posters referred to is usually available thru' state social services, ours is in child welfare, some may be found thru' Autism Society sites in your state. Help is here and now. There is a whole protocol of biolgical therapies to do for your kids to calm them if you're willing to do them. I hope you will make the DAN contact very soon. (Ans I hope she re-visits here to get the messages). Grandma Peg
