: Our son was almost 36 months before I began a attempt at ABA program at home. He was totally non verbal among other autistic traits. Between 3 and 4 he showed such improvement with our at home program that our school district agreed to place him in the ABC school featured in Newsweek. He is now nine and is speaking up a storm however we still deal with other issues. He is enrolled in regular ed. with an aid and our biggest joy is that he can actually tell us how he feels and what he wants and what he did. Do not ever think for a moment that it is too late, our son now plays with his siblings, can go anyplace with us, understands almost everything and relates at school. I also use vitamins, like Super Nu Thera (from Kirkmans) and cod liver oil. I never stop looking for good ideas. Also I think the allergy testing is helpful. After taking our son off of dairy we have seen even more improvement. Have you heard anything about Secretin and what do you think??

Your news is so uplifting!! I will be starting my son on Super Nu Thera as soon as I get it. I have not heard promising things about secretin, but like you I am open to good ideas. Since our son is nonverbal now, we are going to start with DMG and go on to SNT. Since Lael has a several feeding problem he is on pediasure for almost all of his calories, it is gluten free, but not casein free. I don't think he has a casein allergy tho. Thanks again for sharing your accomplishment!!
