I just read another great article about an ABA success story. The younger it is started the better a child's chances are for recovery. I have an open mind and am willing to listen to new ideas. Right now 50% chance of recovery is pretty good statistics for these children.
Ann, if your child is only two, you are lucky to have an early diagnosis. ABA might help turn this disease around for your child. When I think about some of the progress Joe has made in these past few months, it has been accomplished through intensive one on one therapy.
Of course, the progress doesn't seem fast enough to me because I compare him with my normally developing children.
We are all looking for answers, but I will support anyone who is using their time, money and expertise to help fight this terrible disease.
Sincerely,
Liz
