: My son is 5,and he wears a helmet for protection . He has self -injurious behavior. He will bang his head or hit his face . He broke the strap on his helmet and therapy does'nt want to get him another one !! He really needs this especially at school if he starts hurting himself . Does anyone know where we could get him another one?

REPLY; Any place that sells assitive devices for the handicapped. I've not found a website yet One Mom said they bought their boy a hockey helmut. I see kids with CP wearing the soft kind that looks like a bike riders helmut. I'd think the one's made specially for the 'handicapped' would have better straps, etc., wouldn't you?? Grandma Peg
