I have a 6 year old boy in my classroom that has been identified with autism. He is non verbal and has loud screaming outbursts throughout the schoolday. These most often occur when he is asked to do a certain task or when asked to stop an ainappropriate behavior. I have worked in SpEd for 16 years and with a variety of kids with autism. I have tried many different things with this boy (weighted vest, showing a picture of STOP sign, earphones, etc.) but no solution to the screaming. Hope you can share some suggestions with me. Thanks!
