I just came across this board today after learning yesterday that my pediatrition feels my son may have PDD. This is not new to us, we started out in EI when he was 18mths because of speech delay. Then went to several pediacric hosppitals to see deveolpmental specialists and neuologists, all whom have ruled out pdd. After seeing his pdei yesterdayof a 4 yr old check up, she suggested seeing yet another pdd diagnostic docter. Our son does have a speech delay he is 1yr behind, he has had therapy since 18mths of age and is progressing in a public prescool with speech, pt, and ot. I am having a hard time understanding why I am being flipped aound to all these drs? Just when I get used to the idea my son is doing great going to be ok here we go again!!! He also was diagnosed with sensory integration disorder last time we went to Childrens Hospital in Boston. I dont know why I am writing this, I feel I need support and need to vent on occasion, it is hard when nobody in my family entirrely understands.
