Hello , I have a 5 yr old son with Autism and Cerebral Palsy . I also have 3 other children ages 9 , 6 and 10 months. My son has always had self -abuse , but lately he does it every minute !He has started butting the baby in the head , biting his sisters and biting us. I feel like he is hurting somewhere , he does'nt have any speech so it is so hard to tell. He always hits his jaw and hits his nose as hard as he can .... I am trying to get the doctors to put him in the hospital and run some tests but they are giving me a hard time ... They say insurance won't cover it .... I just don't know what else to do. I have had family to tell me to put him in a home .... If only he could communicate I just feel like it would help him ... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ...
