We are using the diet with our 33 yr old son and he is doing ok with it. Read all of the food labels to make sure that any food you buy dosen't have G of C in it. We found C in water packed canned tuna fish!

Check out the website: www.gfcfdiet.com

you will get a lot of information there.

We have other friends with adult autistic people in the family who also are on the diet and are having good results( the folks feel better and act better--you probably won't see some of the dramatic results that you would see with a child)

It will take you 6 months to a year to realize full benefit. The first month or two will be the hardest on your folks since they will suffer withdrawl from the G&C.

Good luck.

I am Deputy head of home working for East Gloustershire N.H.S trust in the u.k. we are about to begin using the GFCF diet with four adults with Autistic spectrum disorder, but have found it very difficult to obtain any research with regards to the benifit of the diet for adults.
