I know what you're saying, but the same could be said about testing to see if the kids DO need a supplement. We found out that Ethan has malabsorption of the gut, so most of the supplements that we gave him are passing right through his system (and going down the pan!). That's very expensive effluent that we're creating there, but not much else!
The whole point of Applied Kinesiology is to balance the physical and chemical balance of the body (but only if it's done right). So we're going for root cause. The diet is part of the problem, and sits hand in hand with the AK and the SC therapy. The flower remedies are similar to the phytonutrients, and are aimed at correcting the root-cause, whereas a lot of the supplements that I've been giving, are aimed at compensating for imbalances in the body. So if you stop giving the supplements, you've still got the problem.
The point being to all this - we'll never know what supplements are necessary , and what aren't. All I know is that in the last few days since the therapy, I have seen much more of my little boy emerge than in 7 months of supplements. It won't work for everyone, but it does for us.
If you look on the web, there's an interesting article in FEAT which talks about the use of SC therapy in autism and ADHD - it's well worth a read. Holistic medicine is making a big mark in this area - people seem to think it a bit strange because it involves a totally different approach to treatments.
Let me know if you try the SC therapy, and how you get on.
