: Hi DeAnna, I just went through this. Your income does matter but, in most states it won't affect his medical insurance. He should keep his medical coverage no matter what your income. Call your local social sec. office and talk to them about it. Maybe the income guideline has changed since the last time you had him on.
DeAnna, In Michigan, a child needs to be receive at least one dollar in SSI in order to be covered under Medicaid. In Michigan, SSI is directly related to a family's income and the amount of SSI can vary from month to month. I don't know the guidelines in your state but hope this helps.
