If you're getting anti-fungals prescribed, then that's a good start. You need to get rid of refined (cane) sugar in the diet too though. Cane sugar isn't digested in the stomach, and it goes into the gut where it feeds the candida. If you can eliminate it from the diet for 2-3 weeks before you start the antifungals, then you'll get less of a die-off reaction. If you could also hold back on the fructose to for about 3 weeks, then after a couple of weeks of antifungals, you can start to reintroduce the fruits.
Some people suggest that you should remove all other sources of yeast too. We didn't see any difference with the yeast products, but we still know when sugar sneaks in!!
The bloated tummy will reduce greatly when you get rid of the sugar - you'll also notice a huge appetite increase while the sugar is being withdrawn! I did this myself 3 months ago, and I felt constantly starving for 5 whole days.
