Hello, my son is 5 and is aggressive too.. I am just like you ,, I have always wanted to stay away from medications..... However his behavior has gotten so bad that I was willing to try and see if it works ... So he has been on Depakote for about 3 weeks now .. He was having to wear his helmet all day because he would bang his head on the wall, and hit himself in the face ...... So far... he has'nt had to wear his hat much at all .. I am not saying he has improved 100% but it has helped his self abuse..... DeAnna slarry803@aol.com
