ABA is helpful but it cannot overcome medical problems, in my opinion. I believe that following the DAN protocol should take priority over implementing ABA, or over continuing it when behavior and skills no longer seem to be improving.
Bittersweet Farms, a home for autistics, has an interesting approach that seems to include a lot of outdoor activities, but I do not know much about them.
: How many of you out there have utilized an ABA program while your child was young, and had it run it's course (say 2 or 3 yrs)? Did you find the programing made a difference? How? What type of therapies (if any) have you replaced it with?
: I have had this question posed to me several times lately and have become curious myself.
: Anyone have this experience?
