I recommend sitting down and preparing as detailed a history on your child as you can muster. Any observations that could help a physician should be included: infections, drugs, birth problems, accidents, vaccinations, food reactions, digestive problems, and relatives with neurological, auto-immune, or metabolic disorders. Such a list would be useful to both a local physician or a consulting physician from overseas.

: : Dear Ann,
: I am based in Tehran,Iran.i have a sister in law who lives in NY and she is going to send me Dr. Megson's Parent Packet and if possible,Physician's
: Packet.Unlike the U.S.,there's no special centers for autistic children here and there are a few Doctors who work in this field ;even those doctors do not have updated, new information and i myself prepared a print about Dr. Megson's research and gave it to one of them who seems to be interested in new issues.I am a mother and i spend several hours a day at my computer at home to find out a way to recover my children. The professionals here do not spend much time on research and sometime i get this impression (which is true)that my data is more updated than theirs!Imagine how i must feel in such a condition.Anyway i think i must first receive the packets and then... start a search for a proper doctor. You are lucky to be in the U.K. ,atleast you can place an order from the U.S. directly and travel there if necessary.I sometimes feel like a drowning man who can see the lights in land but can't get to it.It is sad to have two autistic children and even sadder to see there's such a great ignorance and lack of real professional help around you.Thank you for your attention.
