: Has anyone tried vitamin therapy or Super NuTherea on their autistic children? I want to try it but my girlfriends is very wary of trying it on her five year old autistic son . Please help me convince her
My son is five and on Super Nu Thera. He also has other interventions so I can not say that vit. alone has helped him, but we have observed noticable improvement in his skin, ability to get over colds and the like faster and attention to task. It does tend to make him a little hyper so he gets it all in before three in the afternoon as much as possible. For my son being a little hyper is a plus since he was so hypo.
He receives 1 teaspoon a day. Two teaspoons is recommended, but my son can only tolerate the one
and I split that up into 1/2 teaspoons twice a day.
He just gags on the stuff. I have to slowly syringe the 1/2 teaspoons as it is. Some kids perfer the taste, but not mine.
It is also recommended that you start out with a low dose and gradually build up to the recommended
dosage.
