: Hi does anyone here have a child with seizures and had an abnormal eeg... how do you know if he is having one and what do you do to treat it.....
: thank you.
Hi Spikes and Spindles
My child has ASD/epilepsy. He was on Tegeratol but the medications had to be increased due to breakthrough seizures at the end it could not be increased anymore (it also made him very tired). He has now been put on Epilim which has made him more alert and "normal" and so far (touch wood) no seizures. Go to the epilepsy board, join an epilepsy organisation and get informed like autism everyone with epilepsy are different (my child had different seizures drop, staring, chewing lips, siezures during sleep- grand mal) and they handle medications differently. Also I have a great paediatrician who is interested in autism. Good luck. Sarah
