: My son on occasion gets a devious look on his face and laughs on and on. During this, he also misbehaves and tends to burry his face into a pillow or couch. He does not seem to be able to stop no matter what we do.

Hi Dan

My son (7 years old) will get the sillies and start laughing and it is almost impossible to distract him. He will purposely annoy his siblings and get to the point of almost hysteria. He will flop onto the sofa and push his head in as well. For my child I think it really is as simple as not knowing what to do next - he generally does it when he is bored or tired and if I let it go on to long it almost allways ends in tears. I really believe it is like a stress thing these little people have a hard time expressing themselves and the emotions sometimes get overwhelming. It happens only occasionally to us but it is a tough one - I just keep trying to distract him and that seems to work. Sarah
