Do you want the long version or the short? I've seen three orthopedic surgeons, all recommend fusion. On my own, i have decided not to fuse, but to go with Physical therapy. When I say 3 times, i mean this is the third time ive gone through the PROCESS of physical therapy. Each time, I see some improvement and then i plateau and then it doesn't seem to help anymore (so needless to say, i'm a bit skeptical about the process this time around). I'll stick with the exercises (I started them about 6 weeks ago), and we'll see. This is year 13 of the spondy, and i've staved off surgery as long as possible, but i'm getting closer and closer to going under the knife.

: How about starting off with, what's wrong with your back. Have you had an MRI? Have you seen a real doctor? You know the board certified ones? Give us some more information, and I'm sure someone in here will be able to help you. Stay Well Maria (Bos)
