: That's a drag you're not feeling very good.... You know, there must be someting besides an old wives tale to the damp, rainy weather scenario. Francesca is VERY in touch with her condition and what makes it worse, and she always hates it when fall and winter come. She's so tired of it that she's considering coming West to escape!

: I hope you can get some more PT from your insurance. I know exacly what you're saying about "hitting a plateau"..... I just asked my PT about that yesterday as a matter of fact. She told me it's totally normal and that it will pass.

: I constantly wonder why some days I feel almost no pain, while others I'm so twitchy and on the edge that I feel like a major spasm could come at any time....????

: The new paraformus (butt) muscle stretch I just got is the same one you described - great isn't it!!??

: I've got three Chiro appointments next week. I'm starting the interview process of by showing my MRI & x-rays and seeing how they respond.... I have to feel comfortable with someone before they "crack" me, ya know?

: I have to admit, that i feel 100% better since starting my McKenzie PT five weeks ago. My daily pain level has dropped from a 5-6 to a 2-3, and that's pretty cool! I'm completely committed to getting "back to normal" and will do whatever it takes....short of back surgery, because I would never be the same after that..... I'm certainly not the same after my Cancer tumor/right Kidney removal last year.

: I'll keep you posted on the Chiro stuff... Hope you feel better! Peace - Rick J

HI SUE! Have we "met"? Im 26/yr old F with possible tears at L4/5, mild central herniation and early DDD in that same location. I have alot of symptons in common with Rick J, sounds like you may also. I try to keep up with these posts, but I also try to avoid getting sucked in for 4 hours like i did the first week i got on. Any way @ the paraformous strech, I've done it too and get lots of variation fo whats stretches depending on the ankle position and all. Any way one thing I wasnt told right away is that if you are in a McKenzie/extension based program like me, remember this stretch is flexion, so always follow it with extension to reset. Just a tip, helped me. have a good day...
