Friday morning while getting ready for work all was fine, sat down for just a moment and when I stood up (tried to stand up) I had excruciating lower back pain that goes through my buttocks and shoots down my legs. It is now Sunday and it is still there. Have been trying to stretch it out and walking but it hurts like hec. Stairs are almost impossible. Does this sound like the sciatic nerve? Any suggestions on exercises? Really don't want to go to the chiropractor as when I went to one about 10 years ago, he bruised the hec out of my hips and pretty much just caused more pain. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Candace.
