Hi Louis and welcome to the best board around! Hopefully you will find lots of info and support here, like I did. I am 6 days post-op after having a 2-level fusion at L4-5 and L5-S1. I'm not familiar with the exact procedure you mentioned, but I'm sure someone here can help. What I can offer you is a tidbit regarding the fear thing - find out absolutely EVERYTHING you can regarding the procedure, the outcomes, your doctor's performance record, anything else you can think of. Use every search engine you can to learn everything you can, hopefully it will allay some of your fears. Also, keep in mind that if you see a lot of negative posts regarding the procedure, it may be because the only ones who need to keep looking for solutions are the "failures" - there are LOTS of success out there who simply don't have a need to visit these boards any more.
