: Happy 6th month anniversary to you too!! I am feeling FANTASTIC!! The only pain I had after surgery was the incision pain and very, very slight pain in my calf and I only took ibuprofen for that for a short while. Was not even prescribed meds when I left the hospital. I have NO pain now. I've read throught so many posts on this board the only reasons I can explain that I feel so good is that he did the old-fashioned open surgery (and found 3 small fragments that had broken off - besides the extruded fragment) and that they are able to see and find more with the old open surgery and I think the other reason is the vitamins and minerals. I think you should give yourself up to a year and then evaluate how you a feeling then. My uncle broke his back and it took one full year until he felt back to normal. Wishing you pain free days ahead!!
