Hello Susan, I understand the first and second surgery but not the 3rd. A cervical fusion is done on the neck area. Please clarify the 3rd surgery and what it related to.

What did a doc say the "grounding glass sound" was from"? And why is he/she refusing to give you any more injections? These injections are done in sets of threes with each one given at least once a week and than a waiting period of 8 to 12 months before they are administered again. They are right in saying that these injections deteriorate the joints but it takes many injections done consecutively to produce this result.

I would seek the opinion of another doctor if you are not finding the proper pain relief w/your present physician. Have you talked to him about any kind of pain medications that can help you? What type of doc is he? No one should be in any kind of pain. Also please repost w/clarification of the 3rd surgery if it was indeed of the back area. Hope to see your re-posting soon. Be well
