Hello Jill,

I hope you had a pleasant day and hope that you was able to manage on your own today. It sounds like you have a great support base with your children and husband. Having assistance after the surgery is a big concern for me. I am recently divorced and I really do not have anyone to take care of me. My surgeon brought up the idea of putting me in what sounded like a nursing home (the thought of that really bothers me), but this would only be for a few days following the surgery. You stated that getting the kids ready for school was do-able, but how was the rest of your day? Do you have to push yourself rather hard to get things done? The reason I ask this is because I tend to do whatever it takes to complete my daily task, and I see that this could become a problem when I am post-op. Even though I understand that it will be my responsibility to limit my activities so I can actually heal, I think it will be rather hard! Hope things are bearable.

Kevin
