I think the gal who started it has not been keeping it up to date lately, as I've tried to e-mail her and post my surgery date, etc., but have not gotten any response. BUT, it is a really great site for lots of information about helpful tools, people's surgery and recovery stories, etc.
One of the best tips I picked up from her website is to get myself a "grabber" (sometimes called a "reach extender"). With this tool, I am able to do SOOOOOOoo much stuff that I would otherwise not be able to - like picking up stuff that I've dropped on the ground, putting on my own pants, getting clothes out of the washing machine or dryer, you name it, and I can do it with my grabber. They are usually available at medical supply stores and really aren't very expensive - mine was only $13.00! Anyway, I've rambled on long enough - do check our this great resource if you have time.
