Hi Jennifer, I'm sorry to hear you are in so much pain, but listen to Jill and Deb, and demand so more test done. Once you've been properly diagnosed then you can try different types of treatements, maybe some that can help you get back on your feet. (pt, epidurals, certain meds.) An x-ray is not good enough for your symptoms.

It is normal to be derpessed when you suffer from chronic pain, but talk to your doctor about it, he might be able to give you something for it inorder to cope with everything you are going through.

I know how you feel, all to well. I too have 3 children, and I've had to say "I can't" too many times. But you know what Jennifer, I've learned that our children love us just the same. Whether we are giving them horsey back rides, or just lying down reading them a book, it doesnt make a difference to them, as long as we are around. They have less expectation from us, than we do. We want to do so much for them, and the more we can't, the more we want to do. My children have learn to adjust their lifes to meet my back problems. They don't ask me to go for a walk to the park now, they ask me if I can sit an color with them. My son doesnt ask me if I can throw some pitches to him anymore, he asks if I can sit and watch a movie with him. What is important to you, may not be important to them. They are happy just to be with you, and that's all that matters to them. Now, you need to reduce your expectatons from yourself, let your children know about your condition (no matter how young they are, my youngest is 2 and she knows what mommy can, and cannot do). You will see that they will quickly adjust their expectations.

I hope you get some test done soon to properly get diagnosed because this must be really hard for you.

Good Luck to you Jennifer, I hope you are well. Maria (Bos)
