I'm sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I had 2 laminectomies on L4-L5 and I remember how desperate I felt before I had them. I try everthing, chiros, physical therapy, and accupuncture. Nothing seemed to help me either. I would suggest you see to more than one doctor and Jill and Deb said. I think once you've had 2 or 3 doctors tell you the same thing (hopefully) than you can feel more confident with your decision. It's not an easy decision to make, I know, but once you are convinced by so many doctors it will make it easier.
