Thanks for your responses to my enquiry re facet joint injections.
I've been told they are not the same as epidurals but are similar.
The reasons I'm not suitable for surgery is, according to the neurosurgeon that my pain is lower back, down left thigh but I have no pain in lower leg or foot, which would be normal symptoms of prolapsed disc. Surgeon says operation he could do would not help my back but would relieve lower leg pain only.
I did receive physiotherapy initially but they could not achieve much with me because of level of pain I had. I will look into Mckenzie technique though as so many people here recommend it.
Hope Martin's injections help him and once again thanks to all for your kindness and support.
