In Reply to: SI Joint Bracing? posted by Leigh Gaffney-Bain on November 04, 2000 at 04:33:11:

: I've obtained an SI Joint brace because I have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome that causes my joints to dislocate easily. Anyways, I find the joint brace seems rather well, silly. I mean I understand it's workings, that it's meant to pull in my pelvis area for my SI Joint so it'll stop dislocating. But it always feels that it is riding upwards on me into my middle back. When I do where it, there's a big difference in pain or lack thereof as opposed to when I don't wear it, but it's just like a back brace, but without the straps going over the shoulders, but I'm curious if there should be other straps elsewhere to keep it in place better. Soon as I bend over, or goto sit or lay down, it again rids up on me. It's kind of disappointing and i'm wondering if anyone else has this brace and if they can offer suggestions or other types of SI Joint Braces.
Hello Leigh, I too suffer from SI problems. I have a hypermobile SI. I'm most always in pain and I've looked into the SI brace. Somewhere I saw a SI belt/stabilizer. I'll try to locate it on the web and get back to you. If you're having pain releif w/ your product could you tell me where you purchased it from?
