Hi Geo,
This is something you want to discuss with your Dr. Depending upon the amount of damage done prior to surgery will determine if he/she wants you to do anything at this time. I had a full compression of the siatic nerve, out of work almost 3 months the first time and wasn't allowed to do anything for at least 6 months. When I could do something, it was a simple walk in very good sneakers. Be well and don't over do it. God Bless hope I helped. Stewart.
