I have recently been considering the IDET for two levels of severe degeneration L4-5 & L5-6. I have seen both positive and negative feedback - what were your findings. Any info on multi-level degeneration? So far, we have found that for both the IDET and fusion - that success rates are disturbing for multi-level cases.
So far, have been run through the mill, morphine blocks, phys. therapy, pain meds, mylograms, even the dreaded discogram - which my neurosurgeon said that 2 were indeed postive - and the rest were bad - I had a severe level of degenerative spine disease. Pain horrible - Still have been unable to receive any relief. Fusion is difficult on more than 1 level?
So far, continued pain management has been recommended. Scary. I am only 31 - sick of taking pain meds - sick of being in pain. Has severally impacted all things. I have talked with several neurosurgeons and ortho's - same prognosis. Pain management, possibly IDET. Seeing new neurosurgeon who is going to be performing an EMG to check for permanent nerve damage - sick of this.........

Anyones input will be appreciated.
Thanks and good luck to all....

Beth
