: Hi Sandy, I may be able to anwser a few here. First I was fused at the l-5 S-1 with a cage and Rods on July 1 of this years ,I have came along good, the bone was taken off my hip to do both fusions, But as of now 5 months later , I have no pain feel good , BUT still tender,I'm going to theripy now, and the work out is still enough to make me a little sore, as for getting pregenant, I think I would wait untill at lest 6 months after weight on the tummy is added weight on your back, a good DOC will have you in for Xrays once a month for 4-5 months after. I'm sure you should be fine,Keep strong, and I no its hard to do. Good Luck
: : Hi, Im new to this board and looking for a little inspiration. I am a 38 year old wife and mother of a 4 year old. My husband and I have been trying for 3 years for another child (and with a fertility doctor since March) but this year has been full of bumps for us. I am having back surgery Dec. 28 (Lumbar Fusion - they are removing 2 discs, L3-4 & L4-5, putting in bone, rods, screws and nails). I was just wondering, not only how recovery is with this operation, but also if anyone has went on and delivered a baby after, and how long after surgery before they became pregnant. (Time is not on my side) Thanks to anybody who responds.
Thanks for responding, thats what I was figuring, not I am just hoping this all turns out OK. Hope everything goes well for you.
