: I have a special prayer request for you guys.I know this is a back board but I really need you.I just found out last night that my MOm is not going to make it much longer. They give her 1 to 6 months. She is in so much pain and suffering right now I just pray to God that he takes her soon.It is all complications of diabetes. She has been on kidney dialysis for years now going four times a week. She has had many episodes of congestive heart failure. Not a candidate for any kind of surgery. She can not eat or walk. Her body is just slowly shutting down. They say her last chance is another angioplasty but her chance to even survive that is not great. She has dicided to go ahead with it anyway.I ask that you pray for her to be relieved from her pain.No one deserves to suffer that way.I am heading south this week. She lives in Florida.I would really appreciate your prayers guys.It may sound morbid to ask for prayers for you Mother to die but it is the only way she will be at peace. The only one that can do anything for her now is God.Thank you all for your support through everything we have been through. You all have grown very dear to my heart.Take care everybody and God bless you all.
Dear Deb: My mother was emotionally ill for many years. When her body started breaking down, she was suffering pain. She would drink alcohol to stop the pain, which did not help her mind at all. She suffered mental torture, and toward the end, physical torture. Even my dad prayed, "God, if you will not heal her, take her." My dad loved mom very much, despite much of her emotional outbursts and anger towards him. So, don't feel bad asking for prayer for God to take your mom. To watch a loved one suffer is terrible. My prayers are with you, as well as your mom. Both of my parents have passed on. It is a hard road to go down, but in God's strength, you will make it. Someday, you will be together agin; please believe that. Please have a safe trip. Take care, PatG
