Hi Phoebe and welcome to the board.I agree with the girs.You definately need not only another opinion but an MRI.This will show if nerves are pinched by the vertebrae and what exactly is causing the spine to be doing this.It could be muscular but reason why it is so could be much more serious.Doctors want to treat the symptoms and not the problem.Please do not just take his word.You need a specialist.Orthopedic before neurologist.Ortho is less likely to throw the word SURGERY at you.Good luck and God bless.
