Hi Eric - at night-time I take 75 mg. of Amitryptaline. It is one of the "old" tri-cyclic antidepressants that has been found to help with chronic pain, and also helps you sleep. I take it about an hour before bedtime, and it REALLY helps. Ask your doc about that - also, amitryptaline is NON-addictive, so docs like prescribing that better than a lot of the other pain meds.

My walking is pretty good, although sometimes, depending on current pain level, I have a funny gait - kind of limpy. I walk on a treadmill every day for exercise, and I think that's been a huge help in my recovery process. I live in (freezing!) Minnesota, so I'm nervous about walking outside on the icy sidewalks, so the treadmill is great. This board will be closing in a few days, so if you want to contact me after that, my e-mail is: jilldobis@netzero.net
Best wishes to you and
God bless your day!
Jill
