: thanks for the reply jill. i forgot to mention that my fusion was at the same two levels as yours, l4, and l5. it is so great to talk with someone who understands me. alot of people do not understand the world of back pain and what we go through. my girlfriend though...shes the best, she has waited on me hand and foot. yes the doc did give me pain meds and they help somewhat, but sometimes not enough. what can i do to help me sleep better? because rest is an important part in healing. how is your walking? i sometimes use a cain just to keep me balanced at times. again thanks for the response. love to you ALL.
