Hi Diane, I'm sorry to butt in, but Maria (NY) is the reason I am Maria (Bos) :o)
I have scar tissue from the nerve root to the disc. I've had 3 MRI's this year, and each time, the scar tissue
was bigger. I have seen numerous doctors this year, and not one has offered to remove the scar tissue. I thought
it would be as simple as going in with some type of micro surgery and remove it. Well, much too my surprise it's not
that simple.
I have done so much research on my own to find ways to "fix" the problem and not try to cover it up with either injections
or pills, but I have not had much luck. I am going to have an epiduroscopy in Jan., and if that doesnt work the next step
is the wydase. My understanding of the wydase is that they do not remove the scar tissue, they just inject the wydase
on it and try to soften it. That is what my doc. told me, but I wouldn't be surprised if he misinformed me. If those two fail,
I am going to try the Florida thing. I had found an institute there that does laser surgery to remove the scar tissue. I can not
post the web site but you can do a search on it. The institutions name is Bonati. I had suggested it to dear old Fran, and
last I heard she was going to go, I don't know if she still is. Anyway, my point is, that I have decided I am going to get better.
Every one I have seen this year have all told me more or less that I have to live with it. I refuse to. I have a full time job
doing research and running around from one doctor to another.
To make a long story short, and I'm sorry for butting in and go on and on, but you should get a third opinion and this doctor
isn't helping you. Get a fourth, and fifth, go to a different doctor every day if you have to. Only you can help yourself.
Unfortunetly, no one wants you to get better, and no one can make you better, other than you.

Once again I apologize for butting in, and I hope that you find some relief soon.
Best wishes
Maria (Bos)
