I just came back from Chicago Institute of Neurosurgury and Neuroresesearch, where I was told I have a congenital cervical stenosis of c3 through c7. The spinal cord opening ranges from 10 mm down to 6 mm.
My neurological tests for balance, strength and reflexes were not that abnormal, but my symptoms are driving me crazy. I don't sleep due to numbness in arms, have IBS, GERD, migraines, low-grade headaches, confusion, memory loss and constant back and neck pain.
I am considering a laminectomy on C3-C7. Has anyone had this surgury for a similar diagnosis? What were the results?
