I have DDD as well and tried physical therapy and cortizone spinal injections and to be honest with you neither of them worked and were a waste of time, frustration and money. I was told by my physical therapist (who I recently stopped going to) to see a physiotherapist. They are more trained in the muscular and connective tissue aspect of the back/spin. The steriod injection was very painful and gave me relief for only a week ... it was a big tease! Good luck to you.
