Sheri, most thyroid meds specifically say 'do not take diet pills with this' - the good news is of all the meds the natural ones seems to help with weight loss the best.

I am pretty sure you end up on thyroid meds once it's removed; you need those hormones and w/o a thyroid this is the only way to get them.
