In general, of all the blood pressure drugs, the class known as angiotensin 2 receptor blockers (ARBS) seem to have the least side effects. (Cozaar, Diovan, Benicar et al). The ARBS are not dis-similar to ACE inhibitors, but ACES produce cough in about 1/3 of patients who take it.
