You should see some improvement. Just keep in mind it's not a magic process. It's just changing what your body uses for fuel. Since carbs burn so fast, that is the first choice but when that supply is low (and you are getting enough protein) fat goes next. Atkins is a little extreme for me too, but I do stick to low carb high protein as much as possible. good luck!
