Question Sore sensitive tooth

About a year and a half ago, I was having this weird aching pain in one of my lower right teeth. I went to 2 dentists, and they both took x-rays and said it was fine. Last time I was at the dentist when they were cleaning my teeth it hurt also.
Now, for the past 2 months or so, whenever I brush (sometimes) that tooth it hurts around the gum line, and when I eat sweets it hurts on the top. It also aches a lot.
What could this be? How are they going to even be able to look at it because I would scream if anyone put a metal thing on it! How would they even clean my teeth? Does this sound like a sensitive tooth or a cavity?
I know I need to go to the dentist, but I'm waiting for 1 more month for insurance reasons.
Help me!
