Yogurt and cottage cheese are good sources of calcium. If overweight, you can rinse the cottage cheese to get rid of the fat. I use the rinsed cottage cheese plus Carb Control yogurt (3 mg. carbs). This makes a tasty dish. (I use a wire mesh colander, similar to a tea strainer with small openings so the cottage cheese does not drain out).

Citrical 500 mg +D is a good supplement for calcium. Take with magnesium 250 mg. for better absorption. Better to take 2 or 3 times day instead of 1000-1500 mgs at once. Body can only handle small increments at a time, rest just passes thru the body.

You can get all the calcium you want and it still not do you any good if you do not have enough vitamin D and magnesium.
