Re: May 2010 December Thread

Thanks Charlene
I'm just kind of taking it in stride. Looking at things on the bright side. This means I'll see my doctor a little more (which is good for my anxiety lol) and with my last pregnancy I had a few more ultrasounds than the average pregnant woman because they had to watch the size of my DS to make sure he wasn't getting too big. He wasn't, I was really good about figuring out what was low carb and sugar free to have instead of things that I really wanted. Sugar free chocolate pudding is pretty good for a substitute for having a sweet tooth. lol. Last time I was really diligent about checking my blood sugar when I was supposed to and watching what I ate and taking my medication before bed and rather than having a HUGE baby I gave birth to a perfectly healthy 7 lb 2 oz boy.

Hi Ladies!

Charlene, it's so weird to read you write how hot it is because we are digging out from the huge snow storm that hit NJ and much of the East Coast. It's pretty to look at, but had kept us in for 2 days.

I went for my 20 week visit and Level 2 ultrasound last Mnoday. All went well! We are definitely having a GIRL!! YEA-now we'll have one of each!

Good Luck with the diabetic diet LiseK!

Stay well all!!

Re: May 2010 December Thread

Congrats on having a girl want2beamama!! That's so exciting!
I'm sure seeing the dietitian will be thrilling. It was the last time. a diabetic diet isn't a death sentence or the end of tasty eating as I know it. I've done it before and found that I can find substitutes for all sorts of things I have to give up. It's amazing what they have out there that is sugar free and fantastic. lol.

I got the call from my doc today saying my amnio results were normal and the nurse ask if I wanted to know the sex of the baby and I told her yes, I did. It's a girl! All girls here! WHoo Hoo! Merry Christmas to everyone!

We found out we are having a girl! We were a bit shocked and it took me the day to get over the idea of not having a boy (we really were expecting that it would be boy) so now its all girl stuff!!

Re: May 2010 December Thread

Hey is everyone feeling their babies move around? Mine does, not a lot , at night, kind of worried. I have another u/s on the 14th guess I'll find out if everything is ok then. His heartbeat is good and steady and stays around 145-150 just not a lot of movement or strong movement in there.
I've been having frequent heart palpitations as well.Could be stress? I see my OB for a regular visit on the 7th. Guess I'll know more then. So much for an anxiety free pregnancy.

Hope all is well with everyone else!!

Re: May 2010 December Thread

Hello everyone!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well! Congrats Mollie on your lil girl! They are sooo sweet!
Lisek: I feel my baby moving around in there alot, but then again all of my babies were very active from about 18 weeks on. I don't think there's anything to worry about, as some don't move as much as others and I've found that the further along I am, the more they move. Keep us informed! Try not to stress out over it.
