Fruitloop ~ a BIG CONGRATS!!! How wonderful/excited/exhausted you must be! How is your older soon doing with all of the excitement? Are you feeling alright?
As for me, I am getting more and more uncomfortable. I have lots of pain under my right rib and sleeping is getting more difficult...uggg.
I had an appointment two days ago - I had the GBS swab done but no internal exam yet. I am 37 weeks today and I am getting very nervous. My last day of work is the 23rd, so hopefully we'll be able to get more baby gear ready - we are SO not ready, lol. There just isn't the time!!!!! I need another month!
Anyway, sorry for the vent. I'm SO tired, but sleep just doesn't come. Yup, ladies, that means we're officially in the homestretch...lol.
Now that I am almost 2 weeks out, I am feeling much better. I am already back in prematernity clothes (YAY!) and have about 10 more lbs to lose. The twins are still in the NICU but they are exceeding the drs expectations, so I am very excited for that.
The week that I was in the hopital and last week was very hard for DS. He cried a lot, threw a lot of tantrums, and was generally disagreeable. THEN we found out he had an ear infection AND one of his 2 year molars was coming in. Needless to say, there was a lot going on with him, and I can totally understand why he was being such a beast. His mood has really improved since he's been on antibiotics for his ear, and his molar broke through.
He will see me pumping and wonder what its all about and originally I was saying that I was making milk for the babies. The first time I said that he demanded for me to hold him. So, now I say I am making milk for little brother and sister. He likes that better and will point at their picture on the fridge when I say it. I have no idea how he will act when we bring them home though. Its just another adventure waiting to happen.
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, happy new year, and EASY LABOR!! LOL! Good luck everyone

Exciting news here. I'm having this baby on Monday! January 3rd will be the big birthday if I don't go before then. I had my doctor's appointment this morning and I'm dilated to 2 cm, 80% effaced, baby's head is low.
SO, I'm excited and slightly terrified, lol.
So exciting! Can't wait for all the baby news from everyone.
Things are looking good for me now. I've been having random spotting for the last couple months and we finally figured out why. My placenta has started to deteriorate. They said it's normal to happen in late pregnancy but mine is a little further gone than it should be. I will start having non stress tests done at each appointment, but otherwise all is good.
Good luck to all mommies as we start a new chapter in life by adding a new bundle to the family!
Ethan James has arrived! I went in to be induced on monday 12/27 @ 7:00 pm due to my high blood pressure. They started me on medication to make cervix dilate. I had one pill every two hours and then they started me on the Pit. 24 hours later I was only dilated to a 1. So they started the other medication again. 3 am Wednesday 12/29 my water broke. 7:49 am Ethan arrived 6 lbs 10 oz 21 in long.
Hey ~ How is everyone doing??? I've been thinking a lot about the mommas who are still preggo! I'd love to hear some more birth stories! How are the mommas with babies? I hope the recovery process is going well.
I still cannot believe that I have another baby! It's so shocking to think about how many things change. My life is SO good right now. I love it! I am healing nicely and feel really good. I'm still bleeding but that's to be expected after just a week. This is nothing like the recovery with my daughter though - that was awful and painful. This time I did not need an episiotomy and only tore a bit. Thank goodness.
Ben is a really sweet little man, and I joke with my hubby that now I have my very own boyfriend. He went for his one week check up yesterday and has gained two ounces since being discharged from the hospital last week. His big sister, Madeline, is sort of indifferent but says that "I want to keep him Mommy." So funny. She also asked me the other day "What is that thing on his vagina??" LOL. Ahhhh, three year olds.
Hope you all are doing great and are comfortable!!!
Congrats Laura! I was so curious to know if you were having a boy or girl. I'm having a boy as well and most people I know just had a boy or are pregnant with boys. My baby shower is this weekend and we are finishing the nursery soon too, I'm getting more excited every day. My little one moves so much, way more then my other boys did. I'm so glad you had a healthy baby! Enjoy your new mommy time!
