Since you are taking a tri-phasic pill, you will need to change BC to a monophasic pill that has the same level of hormones throughout the entire month. There have been a lot of women posting here about how they tried to skip their period while using a tri-phasic and it didnt' work because of the varying amounts of hormones throughout the month. It confuses your body too much and that's why it doesn't work.

You should start taking the new monophasic pill as soon as possible. It's good that you're planning ahead. But just know that some women, even with a monophasic pill have trouble skipping. They experience spotting or breakthrough bleeding when trying to skip because their body can't handle it.

It just depends on your body. But definitely don't try skipping with your current pill because it is very well known that OTC Lo doesn't work for skipping.
