Re: dyslexia - severe in 6.5 yo

My son has severe dyslexia. Let me say that dyslexia has a broad spectrum. It can be mild and hardly have any symptoms or severe and have multiple problems. I found a place at my states university hospital, they specialized in testing for learning disabilities. You can also use psychologist, Scottish Rite, and Sylvan Learning Centers. I would suggest that someone think seriously about homeschooling the child. I have been homeschooling 6 yrs. My mother has often helped me. The night mares that the child and parents will go thru with the school system are only beginning.
